BACHELOR OF DESIGN, a four year course in NIFT BDES EXAM ELIGIBILITY: Any candidate who fulfils the prescribed age and educational qualification criteria for the concerned programme can apply. NIFT Qualifying Age: Maximum age should be 24 years as on 1st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories.
Educational qualification for NIFT Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Programmes : Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design/Fashion Communication) The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. OR A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. OR 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education. OR Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system. OR General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB). Click Here For NIFT BDes Online Free Mock test Series NIFT BDES ENTRANCE EXAMINATION: Admission to these courses at NIFT BDES is done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in a NIFT BDES a LAN based CBT examination and Situation test/GD/Interviews. Based on the choice, all eligible candidates will have to appear for a NIFT BDES written entrance examination at the Examination Centres opted by them. The written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme opted. Candidates should reach the examination center at least 30 minutes before the start of the examination.
THE NIFT BDES EXAMINATION PROCESS: All eligible candidates would have to go through an NIFT BDES examination process. For candidates to the UG Design programmes, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a situation test to be undertaken by shortlisted candidates of the NIFT BDES written examination. SCHEDULE OF NIFT BDES WRITTEN EXAMINATION NIFT BDES Date of Test: 05 February 2023 (Sunday)
The result of the NIFT BDES Entrance examination will be displayed on the NIFT website On the basis of result of NIFT BDES written test GAT and CAT, B.Des candidates will be called for second test called Situation Test. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the NIFT BDES eligibility criteria for admission. Their admission at all the stages of the examination for which they are admitted by NIFT viz. Written Test, Situation Test, Group Discussion and Interview (as the case may be) will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any time before or after the Written Test, Situation Test, Group Discussion and Interview (as the case may be), it is found that candidate does not fulfill any eligibility criteria, his/her candidature for the examination shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference. NIFT shall not be liable for any consequences on account of such cancellations. LIST OF NIFT BDES EXAMINATION CENTRES : A LAN based CBT examination for NIFT BDES Programmes will be conducted on 05 February 2023 (Sunday) at 32 cities. The candidate may select only ONE city for the examination on 05 February 2023 (Sunday). No request for change in examination center will be entertained at any stage.
